Kian Capital, a provider of equity capital and subordinated debt, is pleased to announce the recent hiring of David Duke and David Hare to support the company’s continued growth.

David Duke joins the Kian Capital team as Managing Director of Business Development and is primarily responsible for sourcing new platform investment opportunities, developing and managing relationships with new and existing sources of deal flow, and directing strategic marketing efforts. David has over 20 years of experience in private equity and investment banking. Prior to joining Kian Capital, David was the Director of Business Development at Edgewater Capital Partners where he led the firms’ sourcing and development. Prior to Edgewater, David was a Managing Director at Cary Street Partners. Before Cary Street Partners, he was a Co-Founder of FD Capital Advisors, the investment banking affiliate of Frazier and Deeter, a top 100 CPA firm. He was previously a Principal at Headwaters MB (now Capstone Headwaters), was Vice President with Synovus Investment Banking, a subsidiary of Synovus Financial Corporation, and held various investment banking positions with several Atlanta-based boutique firms. David holds an MBA from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at University of Pittsburgh and a BBA in Finance from James Madison University.
David Hare joins the Kian Capital team as an Associate and is primarily responsible for evaluating, underwriting, and monitoring new and existing investment opportunities. Prior to joining Kian Capital, David was an Analyst in the investment banking group at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, debt financings, and equity issuances for public and private companies in the Technology, Media & Telecom Group. Prior to SunTrust, David was a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the financial services assurance practice. David holds a Master in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Accounting and Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, summa cum laude, from the College of Charleston. He is also a licensed CPA in the state of Texas.
