EnPro Industries Inc. said its fourth quarter financial results would increase due to the changes in the country’s tax laws, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

As a result of further refinement of the impact of the Tax Reform Act, the income tax benefit and net income for the fourth quarter of 2017 increased by $10.8 million.

Net income for the fourth quarter therefore increased from $23.4 million to $32.2 million.

Diluted earnings per share increased from $1.07 to $1.57 .

The company said that due to the timing of the release of IRS guidance, the tax impact was not reflected in Enpro’s financial results that were announced Feb 13.
