Comcast today announced the appointment of Jessica Gappa to Director of External Affairs for the Beltway Region, which includes Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and parts of Delaware, West Virginia and North Carolina. In her new role, Jessica will work closely with Comcast’s community partners across Maryland and the rest of the Beltway Region, to support impactful giving through community investment programs such as Comcast Cares Day, Internet Essentials, Leaders & Achievers and Comcast Foundation Grants.

Prior to joining Comcast, Jessica was a Senior Consultant, Corporate Social Responsibility with T. Rowe Price in Baltimore, MD. She was responsible for managing internal and external partnerships to increase the reach and impact of the firm’s community investment initiatives. Prior to that, she was the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation.

Jessica holds a Master’s of Science degree in marketing from The Johns Hopkins School.  She is also involved with numerous nonprofit organizations including Project Play, Boys & Girls Clubs and AmeriCorps, among others. She will be based in Baltimore, MD.
