Background - remembrance of growth past
When a former high growth stock, with high valuation to match, begins to look like a value stock, often it pays, if one has patient money available, not to think too deeply and just buy some - if the company basically looks solid. There are always reasons that the stock is out of favor.
In the case of a biotech, there are typically two reasons to look past the news-related stock fluctuations toward a brighter future for the shares, fundamental value based on actual FDA-approved, marketed products, and glamour/speculative trading value.
Right now, Regeneron (NASDAQ:REGN) may fit the bill on both accounts.
