Clothing manufacturer Hanesbrands Inc. has appointed a new chief financial officer in Barry Hytinen, according to a press release sent out Monday.
Hytinen, current chief financial officer of bedding manufacturer Tempur Sealy International Inc., will take his new position at Hanes effective on Oct. 16. He will be replacing Richard Moss, who announced his retirement in early April after 12 years with the company.
“Barry is a talented and accomplished finance officer and corporate strategist who brings a honed skill set that matches the needs of our expanding global enterprise,” said Hanes Chief Executive Officer Gerald W. Evans Jr. in a statement. “Barry has significant experience in domestic and international acquisitions, global tax and supply chain structure, margin enhancement, and cash generation.”
Hytinen was appointed chief financial officer of Tempur Sealy International in 2015. Prior to that, he served as chief financial officer of Fogbreak Software, a venture-backed software company.
HanesBrands employs over 65,300 people internationally and has over 252 outlet stores across the country. It is the parent brand of several brands, including Hanes, Champion, Playtex and Bali.
Its stock was trading Monday morning at $24.72, up 17 cents.
