Electrical engineer Terry Davis selected the Triangle for Brilliant You®, a high-fashion denim company focused on designing jeans that conform to a woman’s ever-changing body. Davis created a new design that will accommodate the frequent body fluctuations women experience, saving women from spending extra dollars and time in building a wardrobe.

Brilliant You Classic 2 jeans are made of high-quality, dark-washed denim with stretch triangle-shaped “enhancements” sewn into the outer thigh area. For the initial product launch, customers can choose from seven different solid and print enhancement fabrics. Presently, Davis is selling her jeans online and offers a unique buying experience convenient for online shopping. Customers are able to select up to two other sizes or enhancements to be shipped with their purchase, to help get that perfect fit the first time. This is called the “Virtual Fitting Room” and customers can return the unwanted jeans at no cost.

Davis began working on her product in May 2012. She spent the last four years gaining knowledge about the retail and fashion industry, protecting her new product ideas with patents, and determining the best manufacturing and distribution model for the business. After much research, Davis selected the Triangle area to establish her manufacturing facility. Key factors in the decision were the strong commitment the State has to helping businesses grow and the support provided by a proliferation of manufacturing and textile subject matter experts.
