Gerald S. Divaris, chairman and CEO of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. (DRE), announced the signing of five leases for a total of 34,080 square feet of commercial space in North Carolina and South Carolina.Lease negotiations were handled by agents of the Charlotte office of Divaris Real Estate.

Lake Norman Antiques and Design leased 22,654 square feet of retail space located at 235 East Plaza Drive in Mooresville, North Carolina. The Lake Norman Antique Mall vendors offer antiques, collectibles, vintage, and upcycled finds and eclectic inventory with a high-end editorial feel while maintaining an affordable investment in an approachable, customer-based atmosphere. DRE’s Diana Teitsma represented the landlord, Ahold Aquisition, LLC, in the lease negotiations. The Divaris-leased space was a former Bi-Lo grocery store.

PetSense leased 5,536 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased and -managed Shoppes at the Landing located at 221 Latitude Lane in Lake Wylie, South Carolina. Petsense is a chain retail outlet store found in outlet malls and rural markets in 24 states. Charles Neil and Diana Teitsma represented the landlord, SATL, LLC, in the lease negotiations. Other tenants in the Shoppes at the Landing include Jerey Mike’s, Papa John’s, 9 Round, and Lake Wylie Pharmacy.

Peony Asian Bistro renewed its lease for 2,950 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased and -managed Patterson Place located at 3515 Witherspoon Boulevard in Durham, NC. Other tenants in the property include: Bed Bath & Beyond, Sherwin-Williams, Kroger, Menchie’s, Music & Arts. Teitsma represented the landlord, Patterson Place Durham, LLC, in the lease negotiations.

New Horizons of Carolinas renewed its lease for 1,500 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased and -managed Socastee Commons located at 5022 Dick Pond Road in Myrtle Beach, SC. Other tenants in the shopping center include: Cricket, Bi-Lo, Great Wall Restaurant, and Advance America. Jessica Peadon and Charles Neil of Divaris Real Estate represented the landlord, Socastee Myrtle Beach, LLC, in the lease negotiations.

The Secret Chocolatier renewed its lease for 1,440 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased and -managed Providence Plaza located at 2935 Providence Road in Charlotte, NC. The Secret Chocolatier has won international and regional chocolate competitions for its chocolates, confections and wedding cakes. Other tenants in the property include The Little Gym, Metropolitan Ballroom, Chipotle, Flywheel, Massage Envy, and Block and Grinder. Charles Neil represented the landlord, Providence Plaza, LLC, in the lease negotiations.
