Alino Pizzeria To Expand To Concord Mills and Mall of Georgia

7/5/16

Concord — Since opening in 2015, Alino Pizzeria in Mooresville has earned excellent reviews and passionate fans for its authentic Neapolitan pizza. Soon, pizza lovers and shoppers at Concord Mills and Mall of Georgia will have the chance to taste what they’ve been missing.

Alino Pizzeria will open its second North Carolina location at Concord Mills in late summer, with a targeted opening date of September 1. The 6,000-square-foot pizzeria at Entrance 1 of Concord Mills, near AMC Theatres, will seat 180 diners inside and about 60 more on the patio.

Alino’s expansion won’t stop there. Another Alino Pizzeria is under construction at Mall of Georgia in the Atlanta area. The pizzeria is expected to start serving diners in the state’s largest mall this fall.

Alino’s menu is simple – nine signature pizzas priced from $14 to $16, plus salads, Italian wines, international bottled beers, and desserts. Pizzas cook at 800 degrees in specially designed ovens from Italy. Every pie is ready less than two minutes after it goes in the oven.

Alino’s cheese, flour, extra virgin olive oil, and truffle oil are all imported from Italy, as are its Citterio pepperoni and sopressata. The sausage is made by an Italian family who lives north of Milan. Alino takes pride in using San Marzano tomatoes in its sauce and all natural ingredients in its recipes.

Like the original Alino, the Concord Mills location will feel like a little corner of Italy. The pizzeria will feature long community tables, Italian music, European soccer on TV, and huge sacks of flour from Naples lining the walls.

Pizzas will range from the Margherita, with housemade tomato sauce, Buffalo Mozzarella, and fresh basil, to the Diavola, featuring spicy Italian salami and Calabria peppers, an Italian chili pepper. Add a Capri salad or the Blue Mix salad, with apricot vinaigrette, glazed pecans, Gorgonzola cheese, and blueberries. For dessert, try housemade gelato, cannoli or sfogliatelle, an Italian pastry.

“Alino has been more successful than we ever imagined when we opened last year,” says owner Michal Bay. “We’re very grateful to our customers, and we’re excited to bring the Alino experience to new locations.”

Additional Alino pizzerias are being built in former mills in Fort Lawn, South Carolina and Jefferson, Georgia.
