Funds raised for Hope for Haiti Foundation and Fanconi Anemia Research Fund

The Seventh Annual Rock Your World benefit concert held on Saturday, May 21, at RallyPoint Sport Grill in Cary raised $108,105 for Hope for Haiti Foundation and Fanconi Anemia Research Fund.

Hundreds of supporters came out for live music and entertainment provided by Band of Brothers, Kyle Scobie, Kaylin Roberson and Nantucket. The event was held under a giant 7,000-sq.-ft. tent and included great food, numerous drink specials, raffles, and a huge silent auction including an autographed Kenny Chesney guitar. One lucky raffle winner received $2,000 in cash.

“We could not have asked for a better turnout,” said Mark Martyak, one of the event organizers. “The proceeds raised this year were almost triple the amount from last year. We are so grateful and appreciative for all of the support received from sponsors, attendees and donors.”

Hope for Haiti Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in North Carolina and a licensed Haiti NGO, with volunteers and supporters all over the United States and Haiti. The Foundation’s work impacts individual Haitians, empowering them to act and change their own nation.

The mission of the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund is to find effective treatments and a cure for Fanconi anemia and to provide education and support service to affected families worldwide.

Rock Your World event sponsors included Tito’s Handmade Vodka, PowerSecure, S&A Communications, and RallyPoint Sport Grill.
